Help a Moron DM on the Site, 20007
By Mannalousch [Tue 31 Dec 2019 @ 12:16 PM (PBW Time)]

Hi everyone... I'm a moron.

My goal is to create a game and have each player join and add them to their own private game thread, where only I as DM and They as Player, can view and post, in their own separate thread.

For some reason I am unable to achieve this seemingly simple task. I think its probably because I'm a moron.

If anyone is (a) not a moron and (b) patient and (c) helpful, I would really appreciate you hand holding me through the process.

Happy New Year,

Mike the Moron

Yikes... is there anyone on this site anymore??? It’s as quiet as a Blockbuster in here!

Or is it because (a), above disqualifies everyone??

Well whatever it may be Happy New Years, all!

Group Help, 20010
By cartman2k [Sat 4 Jan 2020 @ 8:47 AM (PBW Time)]

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to look into the forums much lately due to the holidays.

When on your board, go into "Groups" and create a group for each player. The group is public by default, meaning that only players in that group can post to a matching thread but others can view. Setting to private will prevent viewing from anyone that isn't part of the group or part of the admin group.

Note:It is a good idea to give the new group a name to help identify it since you can have multiple groups with various players mingled between them.

When you create a thread, by using the post move button, you'll have the option to choose the group you want to have access to that thread on the right side of the posting box.

Note: If you choose the wrong group when you create the thread, you'll need to delete the thread and recreate it.
