Breach of Ediquet, 19950

So, asking on a whole, one, if others have suffered from this, and two, how to confront it.

So, a player in one of my games, recently or not so recently, but recently it's became an issue, noticed I'm on another site as well. And well, it's kind of turned Stalkerish in my eyes on how they are acting on it, noting how often I'm on there. Now, as someone who sadly suffered from a rl prob of the same sort, this haas really freaked me out.

Sadly, at one point I considered the player a friend, now, I want no contact with them. Guess again, what truely was asking, is how to deal with this sort of behavior.

First, have you asked the other person to stop commenting on topics like your activity on other websites, or other clear statements of "knock it off" regarding whatever particular behaviors are an issue?

We don't really have a blocking method, but that's not to say that if you are running a game that you have to add this person to a new game/keep them in a running game. You can check the "games by admin" to avoid joining a game that this person is running.

Radio silence for anything non-game related is certainly an option if you are both players in the same game.

Sadness, 19958

I asked him to stop, took a bit, but finally seems to hhave done so.

And have removed him from my games.

Just sad that it came from one I considered a friend. Tried to see if a way to salvage that, but none. No apologies either. In the end Ii just took higher road, said sorry and ceased writing.

I just hope no one else goes through it. I understand at times someone might get frustrated if you can't for whatever reason come onto this site, but it doesn't give them the cause to do what the player did to me.

We all have a right to go to other sites and have our privacy. If we wish to share it, that's our righ to do so. In this, that basic right was taken from me. It hurt, losing the friend hurt more.

Again, I put it here, for I guess guidance from other players and in case they face it.

Though it would save on us a lot if there was a block feature. Least, can just delete an rtj from an unwanted player. For reference, often best not to read them. I've done so, once and it just isn't worth it.
