"Yes, I believe that would be prudent. Evidence of such 'zombies', not that I believe it unless I see the proof," Ami said. "Of course they may be responsible, but I highly doubt it. Someone or something is out there." She finished.

Westtree returns with the same tight-lipped, steely-eyed look he always wears.

"There was another murder. Eddie Rigatoni, and before you ask, its not his real name. He's one of Papa Joe's boys. Whoever it was tore him apart. They're taking his body to the morgue now. Me, I'm going to the sixth largest jewelry store in the city to wait for the murderers." he says, dropping a few rumpled bills on the table and turning his back on the Ghostbusters without another word.

"You guys wanna split up a bit?" Pepper asked the team. "You guys wanted to see samples so could head to the morgue and maybe me and someone else could go with Mr. Stick-Up-His-Butt to the jewelry store." They'd need to decide quick and she sighed at the possibility of missing a good meal.

Emeline stuffed another saltine into her mouth and chewed quietly as she reflected on what the cop had originally told them – were there possible clues there that she’d overlooked? She silently ticked off the key points in her mind:

1) Each victim was a member of Papa Joe’s crime family.
2) Each victim was missing from the morgue.
3) Each victim was ripped apart.
4) Rotting flesh was retrieved from the last murder scene.
5) A book of matches was retrieved from the last murder scene.

Emeline’s full lips formed a moue of concern. Did all of that point to zombies? The young Cajun shrugged silently; there just wasn’t enough there to form a solid conclusion.

“Sho’ would be interestin’ to see if de DNA of dat chunk of rot match any of de earlier victim’s DNA… We’d know real quick den if de dead is walkin’” she mused aloud. “Hell, it might not even be human DNA – count me in for de Morgue, if y’all are goin’ there.”

Clarence nodded at Pepper's suggestion. "Forensic evidence is best studied on an empty stomach," he commented.

It seemed the others agreed and Pepper hopped up, bounding off after the stern man. Once outside, she dimpled at the bouncer and called out to the detective. "Yo Westree! Wait up a minute!!"

"Well that's true I guess," Ami said with a shrug though her forensic evidence was usually hundreds of years old so any disgusting innerds and the like were dried up.

"Well, we might as well get this done," she finished.

Clarence leads the way for the Morgue party out to Ecto. This time he takes the driver's seat, buckles up, starts the engine and says, "GPS Unit. We need the location of the City Morgue, with directions."
He gives Emmaline an odd look when she joins them, but considers and shrugs off his concern.

Emeline climbed into the vehicle and noting the look from Clarence, wondered if she’d pressed this too far. As a dirt-poor city-Cajun, she’d spent a lot of her young life on the grift; the purple-haired girl was used to pushing the envelope, of taking advantage wherever she could to get by. She’d walked away from a paid-lunch at Cajun Katie’s because... well, because she sensed a bigger payoff than just a meal. There was something going on here… something that she could be a part of, something that she might could cash in on.

She flashed a winning smile at the lean scholar. “I call ‘shotgun’” she exclaimed happily, not giving the man a chance to tell her that she didn’t belong with them. “I brought some of dem crackers if y’all are hungry too.” Emeline opened her beaded purse, displaying a cache of pilfered restaurant saltines piled in the bag alongside her voodoo paraphernalia.

Ami shrugs and moves to follow with Clarence. She had to see this for herself probably more than Clarence did.

She smiled at Emeline's call of shotgun before moving to climb in to the back of the Ecto, buckles up and waits to move out.

"I wouldn't mind some of those," Ami called up to Emeline.

"Perhaps later, thank you," Clarence responded. "I always find it preferable to eat after I've viewed an autopsy, rather than before. Perhaps you have a stronger stomach but, if worse comes to worse, be certain not to vomit on the cadaver."
He checked his mirrors, with that, and started to back out of their parking space slowly.

Emeline grinned as she handed a fistful of rustling cracker-packages back to Ami. “Who knows? De way things been goin’ for de Detective , dat corpse probly’ be gone by de time we get there” she smirked, playfully.

*Proceed three blocks to Lijanna Street turn left," suggested the GRS.

"Wait!" Cajun Katie called as she hurried into the parking lot. She reached through the window and smiled pleasently at Clarence as she touched his arm.

"Ya'll trying to leave without your food?" she asked as a waiter carried out a small mountain of to-go boxes.

Clarence looked into Katie's eyes, and reached up to take her hand in his.
"How remarkably hospitable," his analytic voice was softer than usual. "To be thinking of me-- US, I mean, even as we rush off to... well, if not danger, at least research. Is there something I-- I mean, we-- can to to espress the proper, uh, gratitude?"

Katie smiled and pat Clarence's cheek softly as the waiter handed the packages of food to Emeline through her window.

"Well, if'n ya could 'member ta come back and pay for it, that'd go a long way. I also, wouldn't mind seein' ya again." she said with a wink as she backed away from the Ecto to allow Clarence to pull out into traffic.

"Don't be a stranger."

"Well, no stranger than I have to be," Clarence replied, catching Katie's hand just before it was withdrawn to kiss it.
His gaze caressed her as she stepped back from the car.
Then he pulled himself together, and put the car in gear.
"Did you hear?" he asked, half turning to Emmaline in the seat beside hin, "She wouldn't mind seeing me again!"
Ecto fairly flew out of the parking space bound for autopsies, walking dead, and other fun.

Pepper and Eddie accompany Detective Westtree to Broadway Dave's Diamond Jubilee.

The night is damp, the streets quiet on this side of town. Broadway Dave's store is close tight, deserted. A single street lamp illuminates the front of the store, detailing the iron gate and plate glass behind it.

Detective Westtree sits in his car and lights up a cigar while he waits, not carrying about the Ghostbuster's preference to clean air.

Pepper sat there for a moment and thought cigar wasn't as bad as cigarettes but after a bit she felt it necessary to exit the car. He wasn't talkative anyway and she was actually surprised he'd let her and Eddie tag along.

It was his car so she couldn't really saying anything and was grateful that cigars weren't nearly as horrid as cigarettes. Still it stifled her and she rolled down the window. "So ... five down, how many more to go?" she asked into the quiet as she popped a piece of gum in her mouth. "An' how come y'all are just now callin' in reinforcements?"

Ami was with Clarence and was silent. She was mainly wondering if there were zombies or not. But if there was and there was trouble, she would do something along with the others. Hopefully.

She looked over at Cajun Katie who had given them the food and smiled at her.

"Thanks," she called back from where she was then leaned back when they left.
