Purchasing their art will not directly benefit PBW.com. Indirectly, though, we hope that our strong stand for the artist's right to his work and sales attributed to the artist's presence on PBW.com will encourage more artists to permit the use of their work here.

Please note that permission has been given to PBW only. Misuse of the art could result in an artist rescinding permission, in which case we would have to remove all of that artist's work, not just the misappropriated art. Please do not jeopardize our permissions.

As an interim step, art without permissions will be made unselectable as we fill the category with at least as many new graphics (all with permissions attached) as there were old graphics (no permissions attached, unknown origins). They won't disappear yet from existing characters unless they are found to be copyrighted images for which we know we have no permission. If your character graphic disappears, it will be for this reason.

Members are encouraged to consider changing images to any of the new art as it becomes available in the galleries. At some future point, the old images will all be purged from the database.
